MD Booth Tips — Buying Merch at Korean Concerts

Real local tips only locals in Korea know · Updated 2026-07-12

On concert day the MD (merch) booth is as competitive as the show itself. Skip the wasted trip by knowing the order of operations locals follow.

Before the day

  1. Check the online pre-sale first. If the item you want is in the pre-sale, buying online is the surest bet. The on-site booth only gets pre-sale leftovers plus venue stock, so it sells out much faster.
  2. Study the goods list and prices in advance. The official social accounts usually post the lineup and prices a few days before. Deciding what to buy ahead of time cuts your deliberating at the booth.
  3. Confirm the hours. MD booths usually open a few hours before the show and sometimes stay open briefly after. Screenshot the schedule from the notice.

Operations differ by concert and organizer. This is the general pattern; the official notice for your show is the final word.
