The number that matters at Jangchung Arena is not 4,507. The central court is rebuilt for every show as reserved seating, table seating or standing, so what is on sale changes from concert to concert. Everything below comes from the official seating charts of three shows that actually took place here.
🪑 Seating and sightlines
The tiered upper centre is the safe pick. To be close, check that show’s floor layout first. All three shows we checked used an end stage, but sold the room in completely different ways.

The central court is a flat, level, convertible area. When it is standing, the show’s own zone and entry-number notice is what counts; when it is reserved, the temporary row and seat numbers are.

⚠️ The trap that is specific to this arena. The same E2 and L2 were unsold for Kim Jae-joong and sold as restricted view for I-WILL. The floor went from reserved sections 1–8 to standing zones I and W. Do not judge your show from the venue’s generic chart or from old reviews.
The I-WILL chart flagged E2 and L2 as restricted view and warned that the safety railing on row 1 of every 2F section and the tables, cameras and console in front of B1 and O1 can block the view.
What reviewers tend to say: some choose the tiered 2F centre over the back of the floor, and one attendee in A2 row 1 wrote that the whole stage and both screens read well. The official notice still flags railing interference on every 2F row 1, so it depends on your seated height and exact seat.
🚇 Getting there
Line 3, Dongguk Univ. Station, exit 5 connects straight into the arena. You never surface onto the street, which also makes it the sensible way out after the show.
No official figure exists for how long the crowd takes to clear. Leave margin if you have a last train.
Coming from abroad? Exit 5 puts you inside the building, so this is one of the easier Seoul venues to reach without Korean. Save the Korean name 장충체육관 in your map app — English romanisation is not always recognised by Korean taxi navigation.
🅿️ Parking
Don’t drive. There are only 63 spaces, and Seoul Facilities Corporation states that general parking is not operated on event days. The posted rate is ₩400 per 5 minutes.
💡 On the day
Doors — no venue-wide opening time is published. For the KAION encore, general admission was 1 hour before showtime and the standing queue 1 hour 30 minutes before. Go by your show’s notice.
ID checks — there is no venue-wide rule. Kim Jae-joong fan-club will-call required a physical ID, the booking record and a mobile membership card; I-WILL will-call required a physical ID matching the Melon Ticket booking. Wheelchair seats need additional documentation.
Merch — location and hours are per show. The KISS OF LIFE encore ran its booth in Multipurpose Room 2 on B2, 11:00–17:30 Saturday and 10:00–16:30 Sunday.
Lockers — the official floor plan shows a storage room on 2F, but whether it operates for concert audiences, at what price and capacity, is unconfirmed. Don’t arrive assuming you can store a suitcase. There is a convenience store and snack bar on 1F and a coffee shop on 2F, though opening hours on show days need checking.
Re-entry and prohibited items are unconfirmed. Check your show’s notice.
