Lotte Concert Hall is on floor 8 of Lotte World Mall in Jamsil (300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul), a dedicated classical concert hall with a pipe organ. It hosts classical programmes, visiting orchestras and recitals. Being inside a shopping mall makes the entrance genuinely hard to find the first time — but it is simple once you know about the dedicated lifts.

🍇 Seating and sightlines

There are 2,036 seats in total (including 22 wheelchair spaces) — 1,538 on tier 1 and 498 on tier 2. Tier 1 seating is on floor 9, tier 2 on floor 10, with the main lobby on floor 8.

🍇Seating — Korea's first vineyard hallWhy seats behind the stage go on sale

What defines this hall is that it is Korea’s first vineyard-style room: the seating climbs around the stage in terraces, so unlike a conventional theatre there are seats behind the stage, and they are sold.

  • Blocks A–E face the stage, with C in the centre running back to row 23 on tier 1. This is the most dependable range for both sound and sightline.
  • Blocks L and R are the sides — close to the stage, but at a wide angle, and the instruments nearest you can sound louder than the rest.
  • Blocks P, LP and RP sit behind the stage — you see the players’ backs but the conductor head-on. The sound reaches you after projecting out into the house, so the balance differs from the front blocks. The pipe organ is behind block P, and for orchestral programmes these seats are sometimes used as choir seating and not sold at all.
  • Tier 2 is the side blocks L and R plus A–E at the rear — good for taking in the whole stage and the resonance of the hall.
  • ※ Depending on the programme, sound control equipment may be installed at row 23 (per the venue’s own notice).

Check the distance, angle and height to the stage for any block in the seat view simulator.

🚇 Getting there by subway (Jamsil Station, Lines 2 and 8)

  • Get off at Jamsil Station on Line 2 or Line 8 and walk into Lotte World Mall.
  • Inside the mall, take the Lotte Concert Hall dedicated lift — it goes straight to floor 8.
    • Basement 1: the dedicated lift is opposite the LEGO store (Standard Oil side).
    • Floor 1: the dedicated lift is opposite the H&M store.
    • Floor 6 food court: there is an escalator that connects directly to the concert hall.
  • Arriving by bus or on foot, use the same dedicated lift in front of H&M on floor 1.

🅿️ Driving and parking (Lotte World Mall underground car park)

  • The concert hall sits between Lotte World Tower and Lotte World Mall, so any car park gate works. Gate 5 is relatively convenient.
  • Best zones: P3–P5 / Q3–Q5 — park there and you can take the dedicated lift straight from the car park to floor 8. On basement level 2, P3 and P4 are especially close.
  • There are EV chargers (EVSIS) in those zones as well.
  • After parking, go through the door marked with the “Lotte Concert Hall” sign to reach the dedicated lift.

💰 Parking discount

  • Standard rate: ₩500 per 10 minutes from 10:00 to 20:00, ₩200 per 10 minutes outside those hours (same on weekdays and weekends).
  • Concert attendees get a discount for up to 4 hours — which works out to ₩4,800.
  • ※ The discount is handled at the concert hall information desk, and rates and policies can change — confirm on your date.

⭐ Tips

  • Weekend congestion in the Lotte World Mall car park is serious. Getting in alone can take 20–30 minutes, and parking longer still, so allow at least an hour of buffer.
  • After the concert the same dedicated lift takes you straight back down to the car park or floor 1.
  • Being on floor 8 of the mall, it is easy to combine the concert with a meal, coffee or shopping.
