Seongnam Arts Center in Bundang, Seongnam is a large professional venue that programmes concerts, classical music and musicals. The stage is wide and the acoustic design is well regarded, and most seats give a solid experience. This guide covers the Opera House.

The Opera House has three tiers and 1,808 seats — per the official seating charts, 1,128 on tier 1, 404 on tier 2 and 272 on tier 3, plus separate side balcony boxes (L1–L6 and R1–R6) on tiers 2 and 3.
Seating and sightlines — tier 1 centre vs tier 2
Your seat number tells you the block. On tier 1, 1–16 is the left block, 17–32 the centre and 33–48 the right; on tiers 2 and 3 it is 1–15 / 16–33 / 34–48. You can read your block straight off the booking screen.
- Tier 1: sightlines are good throughout. There is an aisle between rows 16 and 17 that Korean audiences nickname the “highway” (고속도로) — the first row behind it is slightly further from the stage but has nothing in front of it, giving a clear view and easy legroom. Rows 1–8 are fan-shaped with shorter side blocks, so row 1 only runs from seat 6 to 43. Broadly, row 10 or closer in tier 1 sees well from anywhere.
- Side seats: the further forward you go, the more obviously off-centre they feel, but not to the point that a performer on the opposite side disappears, and the sound balance does not skew badly either.
- Tier 2: there is distance, but it is excellent for capturing the lighting, choreography and scene changes as a whole, and the sound gets consistently good reviews. The very front row can have the railing in view.
- Tier 3: the cheapest tier, but the downstage floor can be clipped — better for set tops and full-company numbers than for faces.
- Side boxes (L / R): close to the stage but at a very wide angle, which costs you on strongly front-facing productions.
- In short: tier 1 centre to be close, tier 2 centre for the whole production.

- Imae Station on the Suin-Bundang Line is walkable (or transfer to a bus).
- Driving is reasonable too, though the car park gets busy for large shows.
